Multiply your container volume in ml by 0.9 — soy wax weighs roughly 0.9g per ml. A 200ml jar takes about 180g of wax, so 1kg of wax fills around 5 jars of that size.

Which wax should a beginner start with?

A pre-blended container soy or coco-soy blend is the most forgiving: good scent throw, smooth tops, and no additives needed. Pillar and mould candles need a harder wax — check each product page for its intended use.

What temperature should I pour at?

It varies by wax, which is why every wax we sell lists its recommended fragrance-add and pour temperatures in the technical specs on the product page. As a rule of thumb, soy container waxes pour cooler than pillar blends.

How much fragrance oil can I add?

Accepted Answer

Most container waxes hold 6-10% fragrance load. Adding more than the wax can bind causes sweating and poor burns — the maximum load is listed in each wax’s specs.
